Bret Harte High School's inexorable march toward a second straight Mother Lode League boys' golf championship continued yesterday with a 206-238 victory over Argonaut at Greenhorn Creek.

Sophomore Kris Svendsen shot an even-par 36 to lead the Bullfrogs (15-1, 13-0 MLL), who have only two dual matches and the second of two league tournaments left on the regular-season schedule.

Junior Chris Boucher shot a 40, senior Scott Kifune and freshman A.J. Stewart shot 42s, and freshman Darren Baca shot a 46.

Josh Schob was low for Argonaut with a 44.

Bret Harte's match against Calaveras, scheduled for tomorrow, was to be switched to today at La Contenta in Valley Springs because of rain in the forecast.

Bret Harte hosts Summerville next Tuesday, then plays in the MLL tourney the following Thursday at Castle Oaks in Ione. Amador will be the tournament host.
