Sonora's Tom McDonnell is staging a 3-on-3 tournament for seventh- and eighth-grade boys Saturday, April 27, at Bud Castle Gym as part of his senior exit project.

The event also will serve as a fund-raiser for a trip the Wildcats are planning to a tournament in Colorado next season.

Bracket will take place at 1:45 p.m. and games will begin at 2. Call 532-5474 for entry information. The entry fee is $10 per team until April 25. After that, it's $15.

McDonnell was a two-time all-league center for Sonora and led the Wildcats to the VOL championship in 2002.
