Sonora falls twice in Lodi baseball tourney

LODI Sonora High School took a break from the Valley Oak League baseball season yesterday, only to find itself playing a VOL team in the first round of Lodi High's DeBenedetti Tournament.

The result was familiar, a 14-6 loss to East Union of Manteca at Zupo Field. Sonora is 4-5 against non-league opponents, but 1-9 against VOL teams 0-7 in the league race and 1-2 in tournaments.
