Adult, junior golf clinics at Mountain Springs

Beginner adult clinics are being offered at Mountain Springs starting May 10.

Teaching professional Tony Murphy will offer six weeks of instruction on golf fundamentals.

"I'll build your golf swing and teach you how to putt, chip, pitch and hit full shots," Murphy said. "You'll also learn about the different golf clubs and the correct uses for each club, and each student will receive a summary of his or her lesson containing individual notes."

The cost is $75 per student, with a limit of five students per session. Balls and clubs will be provided. Golf shoes are not required. Halter tops or tank tops are now allowed.

Murphy also is teaching separate clinics for boys and girls age 12 through high school. May 10 is the startup date for those, too, and the cost is $75.
