Sonora golfers whip GV again

Andrew Ramirez shot a one-over-par 37 yesterday to lead Sonora High School to a 207-230 non-league boys' golf victory over Golden Valley of Merced at Mountain Springs.

Loren Ksiazek shot a round of 41, while Brandon Schweitz and Dominic Sarno shot 42s, and Keith Richards came in with a 45 for the Wildcats (2-0) in the their second victory over the Cougars in five days. Sonora won 226-249 last Thursday at the Merced Country Club.

Sonora hits the road Thursday to play Argonaut at 3 p.m. at Castle Oaks in Ione.
