Create new states, create new jobs

To the Editor:

Last month there was a newspaper article about some people who would like to break up California into four or six new states.

Now in my opinion, that would be great. We should have eight to 12 new United States Senators. This would sit well with other states who already resent the 55 members of Congress this state's big population produces.

But before this can happen, Congress would have to approve the creation of a new state. Now no matter what the voters approved this it still up to Congress of course.

Now think of all the new jobs. Now how many people do we have in Sacramento to run this state of California? Now expand this many by four to six times to run the new state. That would be a lot of new jobs.
