Cynical about TUD connection fee breaks

To the Editor:

When I saw yesterday's headline "TUD fee cutback on docket", my cynic was temporarily pushed aside as I thought "Oh my god, they are actually going to reduce some of the fees for their customers." I went on to read that the fee cuts were for developers only, in the name of "spurring economic growth." Somebody's economic growth, anyway.

And this latest for a development in Columbia that many in Columbia have already vehemently objected to.

My cynic pushed back and sat down.
