Christmas is missing this season

To the Editor:

Has anybody noticed how retail employees don't greet customers with "Merry Christmas"? I have called several clerks on the carpet about this issue. They say they don't want to offend anyone. REALLY?! They are offending me! There have been surveys done that prove majoirty of U.S. citizens do want Christmas and are not offended by being wished "Merry Christmas". So our retailers cave in and coach their employees to go along with the minority so as to not offend anyone. What about the majority of us who are not offended by "Merry Christmas"? This is wrong! And the largest retailer in Tuolumne county doesn't even have any Christmas decorations up. It's ridiculous! I have to compliment the Junction Shopping Center for how beautiful their Center looks. If we as the American public don't start standing up for what we believe in and stop caving in to the minority, it's only going to get worse.

Merry Christmas everyone!
