Free speech, pathetic message

To the Editor,

I write to support the outrage expressed by Susan Schillerstrom in her July 23 letter.

I have been driving up Phoenix Lake Road for the past three weeks and have been confronted by the worsening display of this cranky person.

Free speech is to be protected and defended, but this "sculpture" is racist, confrontational and pathetic.

I suppose that is his point, except the pathetic part.

He must think it is clever.

Phoenix Lake sign speaks for me

To the Editor,

With all the negative letters that are out there, I personally find the signs on Phoenix Lake Road uplifting because the sign speaks for me.

Why is it when someone disagrees with Barack Obama, one is labeled a racist?

I wholeheartedly disagree with his ideas as well as his administration and I am not a racist!

He too, has embarrassed us as well as apologized to various countries. Oh and don't forget we tend to be somewhat lazy citizens. To me the signs on Phoenix Lake Road say the truth hurts.
