Presidential history, credibility
To the Editor:
In his recent column entitled "Obama's comment about Reagan misleading," Larry Kudlow, with corroboration by Glenn Kessler of "The Washington Post," New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, clearly demonstrated that President Obama engaged in duplicity in misquoting former President Reagan. According to Webster's New World Dictionary, Second College Edition, that falsehood makes Obama a liar. He is apparently following the same moral code as did a recent President who said "I did not have sex with that woman."
So what is the credibility of a man who is in a frenzy to get reelected so he can further his agenda of moving America firmly into the ranks of socialistic nations around the world? Zero.
Those who do not remember history are condemned to repeat it.

Relay for Life and cancer research
To the Editor:
The month of May is the host month for those who would like to participate in the Relay for Life run / walk in honor of those who have had to endure the misery of cancer and to help raise funds for cancer research.
Last year our son, Daniel, held a fundraiser in Tuolumne County on behalf of his sister, Megan, who passed away from AML (acute myeloid leukemia) four months after giving birth to her first baby. Half of the funds were given to cancer research. In total he and his committee raised $24,000. The remaining half went to Megan's daughter, Rylee.
Thank you for your consideration in participating in Relay for Life and thank you to those persons who contributed to Daniel's fundraiser last year on behalf of cancer research.
Great strides are made because of your caring and generous giving.
