Oil is the answer

To the Editor:

I am amazed at the number of people that think Washington, D.C., has the answers to our economic woes via more and more programs that are basically band-aids on a severed head. The solution is simple. As I see it, what drives the economy is spending, what drives spending is extra cash, and what affects this is overall costs. Lower energy costs and everyone will have more cash. Drill, dig, and drill some more, keep drilling until the cost of gas drops back to or below a dollar a gallon. Doubt this will work? Look at North Dakota's employment numbers, and all they are doing is going after oil. Want to fix laws that are holding things back? Start with a repeal of AB32 and roll back all these environmental laws that are killing growth.
