Rollie Lindford Myers

Jan. 22, 1934 - May 22, 2014

Rollie Lindford Myers, a longtime Murphys resident, passed away at his home on May 22, 2014. He was 80 years old.

Rollie was born on Jan. 22, 1934 in Alameda County. He graduated from old Hayward High School. He was the chief purchasing agent with Crowley Marine for more thab 50 years. Rollie loved fishing, camping and tall tales.

He leaves behind four daughters, Lurlene Myers, of Murphys, Jennifer Vietor, of Manteca, Kimberley Dillard, of Texas, and Rolleen Myers, of Pleasanton; nine grandchildren, Casey Brewster, of Arkansas, Kelley Woods, of Virginia, Cory Woods, of Arkansas, Heather Vietor, of Manteca, Kylie Vietor, of Manteca, Austin Vietor, of Manteca, Codey Sharrm, of Livermore, Jayda Blue, of Texas, Kota Dillard, of Texas; and one great-grandchild, Bryce Blue, of Texas; niece, Donna Lee Phillips, of Montana; and great-nephew, Chuckie Thomas, of Sonora.

Rollie was preceded in death by brothers, James, Jack, Lee, Tommy, Donald, Earl and Ivan; sisters, Eulah May, Anna and Nellie; and parents, T.W. and Lola Myers.

An informal memorial will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at his home at 4299 French Gulch Road, Murphys, Calif.
