Shirley Ann Hickman

Shirley Hickman passed away in Sonora, Unit 7, Sonora Regional Medical Center, on May 18, 2014. She was 77 years old.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1936, in Seminole, Okla. Shirley was a resident of Sonora for 20 years, moving here to enjoy time with her grandkids.

She lived many years at Quail Hollow and made many friends. You could always find her outside tending her flowers out front or talking to the neighbors. She was always willing to help the people around her. There are still flowers there in her honor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Hickman, in 1994; brothers Ray Dobbs, Lloyd Dobbs and William Dobbs.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Donna Lamb, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and brother, Tom Dobbs of Marietta, Okla.; her three children and their spouses, Mark Hickman, of Centennial, Colo., Clark Tate, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kari and Dave Hartzell, of Sonora; three grandchildren and their spouses, Vanessa Hickman, of Centennial, Colo., David Hartzell, of Sonora, and Amanda and Guy Yaecker, of Sonora; two great-grandchildren Marley and Emily, of Sonora.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora.
