In the late 1950s she divorced from Frank and later married Clifton Mitchell. In the 1960s, they built and operated Black Creek Lodge on Tulloch Reservoir until Cliff's death in 1966. She then moved to Jamestown and a few years later married Melix Pardina. They had a winter home in Yuma, Ariz., where they enjoyed hiking and exploring the desert.

Bunnie enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and was active in the AmVets.

She is survived by her son, John (Joyce) Lertora, of Stockton; and three grandchildren, Frank Lertora (Ashley), of Astoria, Ore., Larry Lertora, of Lockford, and Lisa Lertora Mantantes (Tony), of Lodi; and five great grandchildren.
