Sonora resident Betty Margaret (Briggs) Allen died Aug. 19 at Meadow View Manor Residential Care Facility in Sonora. She was 90.
Mrs. Allen was born in Sedalia, Mo.
She worked as a teacher for 30 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Wylie.

Sonora resident Nancy Bousquet died Aug. 26 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 65.
Ms. Bousquet was born in San Francisco to Roger and Vivian Bousquet.
She settled in Sonora 28 years ago.
She enjoyed collecting antiques.
Mrs. Bousquet was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Seth Bousquet, of Sonora; sister, Suzette Stephenson, of Brentwood; and grandchildren, Hannah and Cole Bousquet, both of Sonora.

JoAnn M. Collacott

Groveland resident JoAnn M. Collacott died Aug. 18 at her son's home in San Mateo. She was 73.
Mrs. Collacott was born in Ketchum, Okla., to Minnie and Sheldon Collacott.
She was a crafter and made pine needle baskets and handmade children's clothing, among other things.
She met Jerre L. Collacott in Southern California and they married in the early 1960s.
She and her husband settled in Tuolumne County 36 years ago.
She enjoyed collecting and selling antiques.
Mrs. Collacott was preceded in death by her husband in 2007.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Elisa R. Collacott, of San Mateo; and her, sisters Colleen Fisher, of Mich., and Suzy Frick, New Mexico.

Lawrence 'Larry' Cook

Copperopolis resident Lawrence "Larry" Cook died Aug. 22 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 66.
Mr. Cook was born in Massachusetts.
He was a member of Ironworkers 377 in Santa Cruz for more than 30 years. He settled in Copperopolis four years ago.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Gypsy Joker motorcycle club.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three siblings.

Donald L. 'Don' Dare
Jan. 21, 1938 - Aug. 23, 2013
Coulterville resident Donald L. "Don" Dare died Aug. 23 at his home. He was 75.
Mr. Dare was born in Oakland and lived in Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Redwood Valley. He lived in Coulterville for 14 years.
For 48 years, he owned and operated his own cleaning, repair and maintenance business for commercial window blinds.
Mr. Dare was a member of SCOPE, the Mariposa County Sheriff's volunteers. He was also an active member of the Lake Don Pedro Lions Club.
Mr. Dare was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Wingerter and Frieda Ulricksen Dare; and his twin-brother, David Dare.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Charlene Dare, of Coulterville; his sister, Carol
Mason, of Houston, Texas; his children, Pauline Krauss, of Tracy, Alison Jones, of Hayward, and Steven Dare, of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Kirsten, Leanna, Stephanie, Zack, Heidi, Katie, Derek, and Dylon; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at Lake Don Pedro Baptist Church, 4175 Abeto St., La Grange.

Mary Frances (Gardner) Pyle

Longtime Jamestown resident Mary Frances (Gardner) Pyle died Aug. 26 at a Modesto care facility. She was 90.
Mrs. Pyle was born in Bakersfield to Charles and Julia Gardner. She lived in Jamestown for 30 years.
Mrs. Pyle and her husband, Robert "Bob" Pyle owned California Towing Company, where she was office manager for many years. They moved to Tuolumne County in 1973 and purchased Hill Haven Mobile Home Park, where they enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Mrs. Pyle was a member of Mother Lode Seniors and Tuolumne County Senior Services. She worked on many fundraisers to open the Tuolumne County Senior Center, including eight years of conducting fundraiser bingo games twice a month.
Mrs. Pyle was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert "Bob" Pyle; her daughter, Shirley Pyle Barrett; her sister, Patricia Zamora; her grandson, Donald Barrett; her granddaughter, Mary Pyle; and her son-in-law, John Barrett.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Beverly Pyle; her brother, Charles Gardner, of Modesto; her sister, Fleta Frost, of Santa Cruz; and numerous nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Inurnment will be at Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora.

Mary Louise (Sears) Thibault

Former Sonora resident Mary Louise (Sears) Thibault died Aug. 12 at her home in Orangevale. She was 81.
Mrs. Thibault was born and raised in Hemet, the daughter of Walter and Cecelia Sears. She was active in sports, was a song leader, was editor of her high school newspaper and acted in the Ramona Pageant. She graduated in 1949.
She acted and modeled while attending Chaffey College. She married Richard L. "Dick" Thibault. They had four children.
The family moved to Orangevale in 1962, where Mrs. Thibault managed her husband's medical practice.
In 1975, she went to work for Foundation Community Health Plan. Mrs. Thibault enjoyed community service and was a member of the PTA, Sonora Hospital Auxiliary and the PEO Sisterhood. She also enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Thibault was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert E. Sears; her husband, Dick Thibault; and her son-in-law, Alan Wilbur.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert and Heidi Thibault, of Sonora, Pamela and Steve Hinote, of Orangevale, Amy Thibault-Wilbur, of Sacramento, and Laurette Thibault and Ralph Westbrook, both of Sacramento; grandsons, Austen Thibault, of Sonora, James and Paul Westbrook, of Sacramento; granddaughters, Elissa, and her husband, Ron Cooper, of Sacramento, and Kerry and Leah Hinote, of Florida; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life and reception will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Orangevale Community Center, 6826 Hazel Ave., Orangevale.
