Thomas William Brown

Jan. 6, 1947 - Oct. 31, 2012

Mountain Ranch resident Thomas William Brown died Oct. 31, at home after four-year battle with cancer.

Mr. Brown was born in San Francisco.

Before settling in Mountain Ranch, he and his wife, Jane, lived in Corte Madera.

Mr. Brown worked for the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 16 as a video technician from 1967 until his retirement in 2002.

During his career he worked on a variety of productions including touring with Pink Floyd on "The Wall," Democratic and Republican conventions, and Steve Job's Macworld convention at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The couple settled in Mountain Ranch 14 years ago.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Home Winemakers Association. He produced award winning wines within the association, as well as for county and state fairs.

He enjoyed pond fishing and winemaking and was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jane Brown, of Mountain Ranch; his son, Brent Wooldridge, and his wife, Terri, of Prunedale; and grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Wooldridge, Jack Thomas Wooldridge and Samantha Wooldridge, all of Prunedale.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Amador and Calaveras counties, 1500 S. Highway 49, Suite 205, Jackson, CA 95642; Mountain Ranch Lutheran Church, 8063 Washington St., Mountain Ranch, CA 95246; or to a charity of choice.

A memorial potluck will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at the home of Loree and Doug Joses.

San Andreas Memorial is handling arrangements.

ROWDEN - Former Sonora resident Clyde "Fred" Rowden, 67, of Salinas, died Nov. 9 in San Francisco.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 830 Padre Drive, Salinas. Struve and Laporte Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

SHINN - Fern Shinn, 92, of Sonora, died Wednesday at Avalon Care Center of Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

SUEHOWICZ - Helen Suehowicz, 90, of Sonora, died Thursday at Avalon Care Center of Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

WILLIAMS - Roland Williams, 77, of Twain Harte, died Wednesday at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
