Beulah Lorene Dalrymple

Sept. 15, 1920 - Nov. 3, 2012

Former Groveland resident Beulah Lorene Dalrymple died Saturday at Casa de Modesto Retirement Center. She was 92.

Mrs. Dalrymple was one of 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McGaugh in Shamrock, Texas.

She married Leo Dalrymple in 1938. They lived in Foss, Okla., for several years before moving to Ceres in 1950, where they raised their three children.

They settled in Groveland in 1976, where they built several homes.

Mrs. Dalrymple was a member of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Groveland.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, poetry and nature walks.

Mrs. Dalrymple was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 1996; and nine of her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Constance Newton, of Coulterville, Allen Dalrymple, of Groveland, and Rita Moore, of Groveland; one sibling; and numerous grandchildren.

A donation in her memory can be made to Casa de Modesto Retirement Center, 1745 Eldena Way, Modesto, CA 95350, care of Kathy Lewis.

A memorial service will he held at noon today at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Highway 120, Big Oak Flat.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Lillian (Bottemiller) Davis

Feb. 15, 1919 - Nov. 5, 2012

Sonora resident Lillian (Botte-miller) Davis died Monday at Avalon Care Center of Sonora. She was 93.

Mrs. Davis was born and raised in Arlington, Ore.

She worked as a graphic artist with a commercial printing company for two years before marrying her husband.

The couple settled in the Bay Area for many years.

During that time, she worked in retail at Capwell's in Walnut Creek for more than 25 years until retirement.

After the death of her husband, she settled in Sonora, where she lived for 21 years.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening sewing and crafts.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, George Davis, in 1987; and her sister, Florence Melrose, earlier this year.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert and Kathy Davis, of Hayfork, Larry and Trisha Davis, of Sonora, and Marilyn Layla, of Fort Collins, Colo.; her sister, Margaret Hedemark, of Walnut Creek; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A donation in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Tuolumne County, P.O. Box 830, Jamestown, CA 95327.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Shadow Cemetery. Depending on the weather, the service may be held at Heuton Memorial Chapel, which is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Margaret (McRae) Kauzlarich

April 25, 1927 - Nov. 4, 2012

Former Murphys and Arnold resident Evelyn Margaret (McRae) Kauzlarich died Sunday at Garden City Health Care in Modesto. She was 85.

Mrs. Kauzlarich was born in Ironwood, Mich.

She graduated from St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood before attending nursing school through St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago.

There, she met her future husband, Frank L. Kauzlarich.

The couple settled in the Bay Area for nearly 30 years.

During that time, she worked as a registered nurse for more than 27 years before retirement.

Mrs. Kauzlarich retired to Calaveras County in the early 1970s, where her husband joined her on the weekends before his retirement.

They moved to Ripon 14 years ago for health reasons.

She was a member of the Calaveras Seniors of Murphys and the Calaveras Jumping Frog Seniors.

Mrs. Kauzlarich is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank L. Kauzlarich, of Ripon; her children, Bill Kauzlarich, of Pioneer; Frank Thomas Kauzlarich, of Tracy, Heidi Kauzlarich, of Murphys, and Patti Martinez, of Livermore; her brother, Douglas McRae, of Palmetto, her sisters-in-law, Doris McRae, of Ironwood, Mich., and Mary Schwab, of Avery; and two grandchildren, Kris Kauzlarich and Katey Martinez.

Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Angels Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Murphys.

Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.


GIUSSI - Erma Giussi, 103, of Sonora, died Wednesday at Skyline Place. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements.

LUSTER -Wilson Ray Luster, 71, of San Andreas, died Friday at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Farmington Memorial Cemetery in Farmington. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

RAMIREZ - Juaniva Lorene Chatfield Ramirez, 79, of Copperopolis, died Oct. 31 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Copperopolis Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Church, Copperopolis. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
