Johnnie (Warren) Pruitt

Johnnie (Warren) Pruitt, of Sonora, died May 14 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 75.

Mrs. Pruitt was born in Texas to Don and Vera Warren. She was a 37-year resident of Sonora and was a visiting nurse, who cared for patients in their homes.

She was a member of Heritage Christian Church. Her hobbies included reading and helping others.

She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Vera and Ernie Charotte, of Sonora, Yvonne and Marshall Miller, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lynn Davis, of Cartersville, Ga.; her sisters, Marge Joslin, of Scarborough, Maine, and Peggy Warren, of Americus, Ga. ; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No services to be held.

Delsie Swilley

Aug. 3, 1932 - May 12, 2012

Delsie Swilley, of Sonora, died May 12 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. She was 79.

She was born in Oklahoma, the daughter of Mars Melvin Geary and Lola Faye Geary.

She was a homemaker for 59 years. She lived in Tuolumne County for four years.

She is survived by sons, Dan Swilley, of Zephyr Cove, Nev., and Terry Swilley, of Sonora.

Family graveside service to be held.

Ralph Miller

Nov. 24, 1927 - May 12, 2012

Soulsbyville resident Ralph Miller died Saturday at Oak Terrace Memory Care in Soulsbyville. He was 84.

He was born in Mount Angel, Ore., the son of Antone and Magdalen Miller.

He lived most of his life in Oregon and moved to Tuolumne County less than a year ago.

A lithographer and offset printer for 20 years, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Hillsboro, Ore., the Catholic Order of Foresters and American Legion. His interests included gardening, car rallies, fishing and boating on the Columbia River with his late friend, Ed.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Miller, in 2000.

He is survived by his stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Peggy Pohl, of Portland, Ore.; his sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Joe Frietas, of Long Barn; and six nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled. He will be buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.

COLLINS - Maxine Collins, 83, of Columbia, died May 12 at Avalon Care Center. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Jackson and Gold streets, Columbia. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
