Former Twain Harte resident Bonnie Jean "BJ" Sibley died Thursday at her Livermore home. She was 68.
Born in Waltham, Mass., she was the oldest of six children. As part of a military family, she attended grade school in the United States and high school in Taiwan.
In 1994, she married Richard Sibley. She had two sons through an earlier marriage, Geoffrey and Gregory Jeppson.
She worked as a TV journalist and personality at WTVY in Dothan, Ala.
While living in Livermore, she was a radio personality at KKIQ, a reserve police officer at the Livermore Police Department, and held positions in public affairs and emergency response at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
After retiring from Lawrence Livermore in the early 2000s, she and her husband moved to Twain Harte where they built a home. There, she worked for the Sierra Mountain Times and Twain Harte Times.
She enjoyed doll making, painting, sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and jewelry making. She also enjoyed participating in the Sweet Adeline's singing groups for many years.
Mrs. Sibley is survived by her husband, Richard Sibley, of Livermore; sons and their wives, Geoff and Jenise Jeppson, of Vacaville, and Greg and Rachelle Jeppson, of Livermore; stepdaughters, Jennifer and husband Ben Day, of Vancouver, Wash., and Melisa Sibley, of Portland, Ore.; grandsons, Forest and Carson Jeppson, both of Vacaville, and Gryphon Day, of Vancouver, Wash.; siblings, Joan Beason and Barbara Boberg, both of Livermore, Teddie Kirk, of Amarillo, Texas, James Schofield, of San Francisco, and Stephanie Sotelo, of Riverbank; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Callaghan Mortuary in Livermore. The Callaghan Mortuary in Livermore is handling arrangements.

Linda Sue Martin

Mountain Ranch resident Linda Sue Martin died Dec. 18 at the Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas. She was 67.
Born in Marion, Kan., to Josephine Allen and Arthur Klein, she grew up in Fort Collins, Colo., and lived in San Francisco for a few years before moving to Pleasanton.
She moved to Mountain Ranch in 1999.
She was a retired construction dispatcher.
She was a member of the Mountain Ranch Community Club and the Quilting Club.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Bill Martin, of Mountain Ranch; sons, Jason Murphy, of Castro Valley, and Mitchell Murphy, of Orange County; stepchildren, William Martin, of Pioneer, Brad Martin, of Port Ludlow, Wash., and Nikki Grimes, of Sayare, Okla.; brother, Tom Klein, of Salem, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Murphy.
A celebration of life is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Mountain Ranch Community Hall.
