Edward Miller

Dec. 6, 1932 - Nov. 30, 2011

Sonora resident Dale Edward Miller died Nov. 30 at his son's home in Dublin. He was 78.

Born in Vancouver, Wash., to Lloyd and Bessie Miller, he was an executive at Pacific Bell in the Bay Area for 30 years. He and his wife, Audrey, also owned AuDale's Gifts in San Jose for many years.

He and his wife travelled throughout the world before settling in Sonora in 1989, where they lived for 23 years.

The couple enjoyed traveling and camping.

Mr. Miller is survived by his sons, Kevin Miller, of Dublin, and Scott Miller, of Sonora; and grandchildren, Brandon, Sean, Chad, Jeffery, Shawnie and Natalie Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Audrey Tilson Miller; and son, Bradford Tilson Miller.

A service is scheduled for noon Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mundy Sr.

April 14, 1922 - Dec. 4, 2011

Longtime Sonora and Alameda resident Paul E. Mundy Sr. died Sunday at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. He was 89.

Born in West Virginia, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1939 and served during World War II. While stationed in Shreveport, La., he met Jean Bratton, his future wife.

He completed his military service in Alameda and began working as an air craft examiner for the federal government for 35 years.

He and his wife bought their home in Sonora in 1967.

He enjoyed cutting wood at the family mountain home in Sonora, driving his tractor, and working on projects with his son.

Mr. Mundy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Mundy, of Hughson; Paul E. Mundy Jr., of Twain Harte; and granddaughter, Sheraden Mundy, of Fresno.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Jean Mundy.

A private family service is scheduled.
