Oller Olander

Jenny Lind resident Olga Guadalupe Oller Olander died Monday at her daughter's home in Jenny Lind. She was 88.

Born in Los Angeles to Richard and Lupe Oller, she grew up in San Francisco with her father and brothers.

She met and married her husband in 1949, and went on to work for the phone company for many years. She also worked as a translator for the United Nations Conference at the Opera House in San Francisco.

Mrs. Olander and her family moved to Jenny Lind in 1963 and then to Mountain Ranch in 1974.

She and her husband later moved to Ceres. After the death of her husband and, later, daughter, she moved back to Jenny Lind.

She was a Christian and a member of the Stone Corral Community Church in Valley Springs.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening flowers, and writing cards and letters of encouragement to people.

Mrs. Olander is survived by her daughters, Lana and husband Jack Mitchell, of Jenny Lind, and Arlene Kemalyan, of Lodi; grandchildren, Sari Ann, Jonathan and his wife Erin Mitchell, all of Jenny Lind, Rebekah and Brett Marciasini, of Stockton, Sarah and David Boswell, of Sacramento, Leah and Eric Reichwaldt, of Nebraska, and Esther and husband Matt Roche, Elizabeth and husband Ferdinand Cadavillo, and Hannah, Joel, Paul, Aaron, Ethan, Abigail, Deborah, Andrew, Joshua, Anna, Jacob and Gabriella Kemalyan, all of Lodi; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert Olander; daughters, Tina Lark and Leslie Olander; and brother John Oller.

A memorial service is scheduled for noon Saturday at the Stone Corral Community Church, Highway 26, Valley Springs.

A private interment will be held at the Jenny Lind Cemetery.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Feb. 26, 1926 - Oct. 5, 2011

San Andreas resident Ruth Gloria Gilbeau died Wednesday at the Hy-Lond Health Care Center in Modesto. She was 85.

Born in San Mateo, to Henry and Eloisa Sifers, she was a homemaker for many years.

She enjoyed cooking and flowers.

Mrs. Gilbeau is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank and Lee Ann Gilbeau, of San Andreas, Tom and Rosanne Gilbeau, of Douglas Flat, and Cheryl and Ralph Driggs, of Modesto; sister, Myrtle Rieger, of Lodi; grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and DeWayne Burger, of Modesto, Erin and Ariana Gilbeau, of Mountain Ranch, Jessica and Ryan Hansen, of Linden, and Bryanna and Colin Ryan, of Rancho Cordova; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gilbeau; daughter, Gloria Gilbeau; siblings, Bertha Fischer, Joyce Becker, and Sam, Hank and Walter "Mick" Sifers; and granddaughter, Gloria Driggs.

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in San Andreas. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She will be buried at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in San Andreas after the Mass.

Following the burial there will be a reception in the church's parish hall.
