Robert Eugene Pfeiffer

Robert Eugene Pfeiffer, 70, of Copperopolis died Friday at his home.

Mr. Pfeiffer was born in Winford, Iowa, and lived in Copperopolis for the past 10 years.

He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and later was a security officer for Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale for 25 years.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2600 in San Andreas.

Mr. Pfeiffer is survived by his wife, Yvonne Pfeiffer,. of Copperopolis; three sons, Jeff Pfeiffer of Washington, Robert Pfeiffer Jr. of Modesto and Terry Matthews of Washington; two daughters, Vicki Hillyer of San Ramon and Debra Ann High of Somerset; two brothers, Richard Pfeiffer of Janesville, Wis., and Ken Pfeiffer of Texas; a sister, Rita Keating of Beloit, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No service will be held at his request. Inurnment will be private. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
