Alice Hunter, 84, a former resident of Jamestown, died Sunday at a Modesto hospital.
Mrs. Hunter was born in Sacramento and had lived in Jamestown for 13 years before moving to Manteca, where she lived for the past four years.
She was a secretary for Pittsburg Des Moines Steel Company in Santa Clara for 25 years.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by three sons, Terence Hunter of Sacramento, Timothy Hunter of Manteca and Todd Hunter of Campbell; a brother, Charles Calhoun of Sacramento; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hunter, in 1989.
A private family service will be held. Burial will be at Los Gatos Memorial Park. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
Dolores E. Rowe

Dolores E. Rowe, 79, of Murphys died Saturday in Sacramento.
Mrs. Rowe was born in Sacramento and had lived in Murphys for 20 years.
She was an accountant for Santa Clara County for 14 years, until she retired.
She was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Murphys, Calaveras Seniors' Club, Calaveras Jumping Frogs and American Association of Retired Persons.
Mrs. Rowe is survived by her husband, Harold R. Rowe of Murphys; a daughter, Linda L. Mattheis of Murphys; a brother, Rudolph H. Sax of Hastings, Minn.; a sister, Lorraine S. Gibertson of St. Paul; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, James G. Rowe in 1989.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Murphys. Burial will be private. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Betty Louise Borges, 66, of Jamestown died Friday at a Modesto hospital.
Mrs. Borges was born in Calexico, on the border of California and Mexico, and had lived in Jamestown since 1977.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. Family members said she always took care of them and they were most important to her.
Mrs. Borges is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Borges of Jamestown; a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Christina Borges of Danville; three grandchildren, Annie Bower of Alaska and Christopher and Michaella Borges of Danville; two brothers, Martin Bazabal of Winterhaven and Bud Black of Salinas; and a sister, Vonnie Matlock of Sonora.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard Borges in 1996.
A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jamestown City Cemetery.
