Ellen Elizabeth Thomsen

Ellen Elizabeth Thomsen, 92, of Vallecito died Wednesday at a San Andreas convalescent hospital.

Mrs. Thomsen, a native of Fort Collins, Colo., was a homemaker and had lived in Vallecito for 49 years.

She was a member of Order of the Easter Star Crescent Chapter in Murphys and of the Union Congregational Church in Angels Camp.

She was the wife of the late F.O. Thomsen, who died in 1996.

Mrs. Thomsen is survived by a son, Frank Champion of Sacramento; three daughters, Shirley Dawson of Escondido, Daphne Guise of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sharon Foreman of Angels Camp; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held today at Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp. Interment will be at the Altaville Protestant Cemetery in Angels Camp.

Marie Elizabeth Foley

Marie Elizabeth Foley, 49, of Mi-Wuk Village died Thursday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Highway 108 near Knights Ferry.

Mrs. Foley, a native of New York City, had lived in Mi-Wuk Village for 20 years. She assisted her husband, Mark, in operating their general contracting business, Mi-Wuk Builders Guild, from their home.

Mrs. Foleys main responsibility were her five children, her family said. Her husband called her the best mom on the planet, and said she was involved in whatever activity her children were involved in, from swimming to soccer, which was her favorite.

In her spare time, she helped choreograph the Praise Dance teams in her church, the Word of Life Fellowship, and, her family said, was always busy helping other people. She was an elderess in her church and helped prepare meals, clean houses and provided child care for families who were affected by illness.

Mrs. Foley attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., and received an associates degree from Columbia College. She was a straight-A student. She was applying to become a dental hygienist. She worked at Mother Lode Christian School to help with tuition for her children.

Mrs. Foley is survived by her husband, Mark K. Foley of Mi-Wuk Village; five children, Allison Priscilla Foley of San Francisco, Jonathan Foley, Jerusha Foley, David Foley and Mark K. Foley Jr., all of Mi-Wuk Village; her parents, Lillian and Andrew Rollandelli of Twain Harte; and one sister, Connie Kelleher of Sierra Village.

A memorial service was held Sunday. Burial was private. Heuton Memorial Chapel handled local arrangements.

Dian Jane Sullivan

June 13, 1938 Oct. 15, 2000

Dian Jane Sullivan, 62, of Sonora died Oct. 15 at her home in Sonora.

Mrs. Sullivan was born and raised in South Bend, Ind. She lived in Florida and Santa Barbara before moving to Sonora three years ago.

She was greenskeeper for Robinhood Golf Club in South Bend for three years and was an avid horsewoman. She took part in equestrian activities related to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984.

She was a member of the Santa Barbara Emblem Club and the Summit Club of South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband, Gene Sullivan of Sonora; her mother, Evelyn Van Skyhawk of Hunnington, Ind.; and an aunt, Ruby Graber of Plantation, Fla.

Services will be held at St. Josephs Cemetery in South Bend, Ore.

Terzich and Wilson handled local arrangements.

Peter Congelosi

Former Tuolumne County resident Peter Congelosi, 49, of Boone, N.C., died Wednesday in Boone after a long illness.

Mr. Congelosi grew up in Tuolumne County and graduated from Summerville High School in 1969. He also graduated from Columbia College.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Congelosi of Boone; two daughters, Shoshanna and Keisha Congelosi, both of Boone; his mother, Enis Congelosi of Tuolumne; his father, Frank Congelosi of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Antonette Houck of Tuolumne; and several cousins.

Interment will be in Boone.
