Charles "Chuck" William Weeks, of Tuolumne died Sept. 3 at his home of natural causes. He was 55.

Mr. Weeks was born in Richmond and had lived in Fremont for 18 years before moving to Tuolumne County.

Mr. Weeks was a carpenter and worked for Waste Management and most recently as a truck driver for Safeway Corporation.

He was a member of Alcoholic Anonymous for 23 years and enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed music, singing and playing guitar, going to the gym and regularly attended various churches.

Mr. Weeks was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany.

Mr. Weeks is survived by his mother, Bonnie Blalock of Manteca; sons Jason William Weeks of Manteca and Andrew Robert Weeks of San Mateo; sister Valerie Hale of Manteca and niece Tami Kendrick of Manteca.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Alano Club, 14421 Village Drive, Sonora.

Vicky Dodson

Vicky Dodson, 59, of Groveland, died Sunday at a Sonora hospital after battling cancer.

Mrs. Dodson was born in San Mateo; her maiden name was Badeaux. She was a retired facilities manager for Northrup Grumman in Silicon Valley.

For the last five years Mrs. Dodson and her husband Ron lived in Groveland. She was a member of the Groveland Evangelical Free Church, the Order of the Eastern Star in Menlo Park and the Pine Mountain Lake ladies golf group. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed golf and traveling.

Mrs. Dodson is survived by her husband Ron Dodson and stepsons Steve Dodson of Layton, Utah, Dennis Dodson of Vail, Ariz., and Robert Dodson of San Bernardino.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23 at Groveland Evangelical Free Church, 19172 Ferretti Road, Groveland.

William Shepard

William Shepard, 50, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his Valley Springs home. He had lived in Valley Springs for the past 21 years.

Mr. Shepard was born in San Francisco and before moving to Valley Springs, he lived in Oakdale for eight years.

He was a forklift operator for Stockton Steel for 18 years, a member of the North American Hunting Club and past treasurer of Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and dredging for gold.

Mr. Shepard is survived by his wife Cathy Shepard of Valley Springs; children Nathan and Sarah Shepard of Valley Springs; brother Steven Shepard of Roswell, N.M.; mother Kay Bornemann of Roswell and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Community Covenant Church, 4684 Baldwin Street, Valley Springs.

MESSICK A memorial service for Dallas Merle Messick, 78, of Sonora, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sonora Elks Lodge. All are welcome to attend. He died Aug. 10 at a Sonora hospital after a long illness. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
