'Frank' Stockton

Tupper "Frank" Stockton of Sonora died Friday at a Sonora hospital. He was 74.

He was born in New Mexico and had lived in Sonora for two years. He worked as a self-employed consultant for 20 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Murphys branch.

Mr. Stockton is survived by his son, Bob Fowkes of Fallon, Nev.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dellamae Stockton, in 2002.

Services were held.

Evelyn 'Elaine' Bondurant

June 15, 1932 - Aug. 23, 2004

Evelyn "Elaine" Bondurant of Sonora died Monday at a Sonora hospital. She was 72.

She was born in Boston to Frederick James and Winifred J. (Ross) Greenall. She had lived in Sonora since 1985.

She married Kenneth D. Bondurant on May 20, 1955, and they lived in Massachusetts, Tennessee, California, Washington and Okinawa, Japan, until her husband retired from the U.S. Navy.

She taught and made ceramics in the Bay Area. When she moved to Sonora, she made porcelain dolls.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Bondurant Sr. of Sonora; daughters, Alice L. Ross of Chester, Plumas County, Paula P. Woodruf of Vancouver, Wash., and Dian J. Kennedy of San Jose; a son, Kenneth D. Bondurant Jr. of Brookdale, Santa Cruz County; a brother, Frederick Greenall of Horsehead, N.Y.; and a nephew, Paul Burns of Moss Landing, Monterey County.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.

Goldie Pearl Kennedy

Aug. 3, 1922 - Aug. 20, 2004

Former Copperopolis resident Goldie Pearl Kennedy died Friday at her home in Walla Walla, Wash. She was 82.

She was born in Opheim, Mont., to Eddie R. and Clara (Mundy) Tichenor. She attended Montana area schools.

She married William "Bud" Kennedy, and they lived in California where she worked as a real estate agent. She lived in Copperopolis for more than 10 years.

Her husband died in 1980.

In 1992, she moved to Walla Walla to be near family.

Her family said she lived a colorful life traveling extensively with her husband and really enjoyed a good cruise. Her husband's work took them to France and she enjoyed living there and entertaining in a formal setting.

She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Nacey of Spokane, Wash.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Gwendolyn Tichenor of Spokane; and nieces and nephews including nephew Matthew Byerley of Lowden, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Kennedy; brothers, Harold, Roy and Dale Tichenor; and a sister, Evelyn G. Berg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity.

McLAIN Beth Arlone McLain, 83, of San Andreas died Monday at her home. Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. today at San Andreas Memorial Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow at the chapel. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

SIEGEL Nancy Siegel, 58, of Sonora died this morning at a Sonora hospital. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
