Louise Anderson

Longtime Sonora resident Helen Louise Anderson died Wednesday at a Sonora care home. She was 94.

She was born in Mt. Shasta City, Siskiyou County, and had lived in Sonora since 1975. She worked as an inspector for Cutter Laboratories in Berkeley for 25 years.

Her family said she enjoyed crocheting and was a dedicated fan of baseball and football, especially the San Francisco 49ers and Giants.

She loved her relatives, her family added.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Anne Anderson of Sonora and Duane and Anne Anderson of Wyckoff, N.J.; grandchildren, Karen Wessel of Lodi, Sean Anderson of Sonora, Ian Anderson of Montebello, N.Y., Erik Anderson of Rivervale, N.J., Colin Anderson of Lyndhurst, N.J.; great-grandchildren, Kara Wessel of Lodi, Brooke Parry of Sonora, Samantha, Natalie and Scott Anderson, all of Rivervale and Connor and Aidan Anderson both of Montebello.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1604 Ford Ave., Suite 8, Modesto, CA 95350 for Tuolumne County.

SHOEMAKER Tressie May Shoemaker, 69, of Jamestown died yesterday at a Sonora hospital. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

STOCKTON Tupper Stockton, 74, of Sonora died Friday at a Sonora hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

VAN BENSCHOTEN Constance "Connie" Van Benschoten, 84, of Sonora died yesterday at a Sonora care home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
