Longtime Twain Harte resident Betty Regelin died Sunday at a Palo Alto home. She was 71.
She was born in Chicago and had lived in Twain Harte for 26 years. She worked as a shelter coordinator for Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency (A-TCAA) homeless shelter for nine years.
Her family said she enjoyed going to school. She loved crafts, camping, movies and music, her family added.
She is survived by her husband, Norbert "Bud" Regelin of Twain Harte; her daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Burgos and Stephanie and Todd Devilbiss, all of Manteca; sons and daughters-in-law, Jay J. and Kathy Regelin of Fremont, Scott Regelin of Sonora and Richard and Cora Regelin of San Clemente, Orange County; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Regelin of Jamestown; grandsons, Alex, Jacob and Jonathan Burgos, all of Manteca, Jay E. Regelin of Twain Harte and Jeffery Davis of San Clemente; granddaughters, Andrea Gavidia and her husband, Alberto, of Manteca, Caroline Van Lock of Oakland, Elizabeth Regelin of Sonora, Allison and Ciara Burgos, both of Manteca, Skyler Regelin of Sonora and Isabella Davis of San Clemente; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Gavidia of Manteca.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. tomorrow at Heuton Memorial Chapel.
A rosary is scheduled at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.
