Jean Stevens

April 24, 1953 - June 21, 2004

Linda Jean Stevens of Sonora died yesterday at a Sonora hospital after a long illness. She was 51.

She was born in Alameda and lived in Sonora for four years.

Her family said she was a loving wife who loved her family and her Welsh corgi dogs, antiquing and thrift shops. She was a friend of Bill W. for more than 16 years, her family added.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Kenneth Stevens of Sonora; her parents, Paul Sr. and Jean Mundy of Alameda; a brother, Paul Mundy Jr. of Twain Harte; a sister-in-law, Susan Mundy of Twain Harte; aunts, Ann McCormick of Washington, Abis Furheman of Minnesota and Blanche Johnson of Concord; cousins, Michael McCormick of Oregon and Marty McCormick of Southern California; and a niece, Sheraden Mundy of Twain Harte.

A chapel service is scheduled for 11 a.m. tomorrow at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home.

Peter 'Pete' Michael Vizzi

April 17, 1922 - June 17, 2004

Peter "Pete" Michael Vizzi of Valley Springs died Thursday at a San Andreas hospital. He was 82.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Oregon in 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he moved to San Francisco, then lived in Siskiyou County for 10 years. He lived in Washington from 1989-99 and in Valley Springs for the past five years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2600 in San Andreas.

He worked as a central office repairman for Pacific Bell Telephone Company, now known as SBC, before his retirement.

Mr. Vizzi is survived by his wife, Lauerry Vizzi of Valley Springs; a stepson, Ted Towne of Valley Springs; a stepdaughter, Dorinda Davies of Carmichael; daughters, Mary Vizzi of San Mateo and Michelle Talbert of San Bruno; and four grandchildren.

Services were to be held today.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
