Anthony 'Tony' John Botell

Sept. 27, 1939 - May 4, 2004

Anthony "Tony" John Botell of Groveland died Tuesday at his home. He was 64.

He was born in Kings Norton, England, and lived in Groveland for five years. He worked as a beverage distributor for 35 years.

His family said he enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, gardening, kayaking, reading and music.

Mr. Botell is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carolyn Botell of Groveland; sons and daughter-in-law, Bob Botell of Dublin and Tom and Jennifer Botell of Red Bluff; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Rob Ching of England; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Jerry Johnson of San Leandro; grandchildren, Katrina, Brittany and Tom Botell, Matthew Ranford and Alister Ching; nieces and nephews, Nicola Hull and John Johnson, both of Missouri, James Johnson of Tahoe, Nev., and Rebecca Corral of the Bay Area; many great nieces and nephews; many cousins, aunts and uncles in the United States and England; and his parents, Tom and Dorothy Botell of England.

No services are scheduled.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
