Catherine Gertrude Sanderson

Longtime San Andreas resident Catherine Gertrude Sanderson died Monday, Jan. 5, at a San Andreas hospital. She was 89.

She was born in California and lived in San Andreas for 32 years. She worked as a certified nursing assistant.

She is survived by a son, Lane Sanderson of North Hollywood; a daughter, Lynda Gilmore of San Andreas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Frances Myrna Allred

July 2, 1920 Jan. 6, 2004

Frances Myrna Allred of Groveland died Tuesday at her home. She was 83.

She was born in North Dakota and had lived in Groveland since 1988. She was a homemaker.

Her family said she enjoyed square dancing with her husband, traveling, fishing, sewing and her home.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Auby Allred of Groveland; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carol Huckaby of Central Point, Ore.; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Ferrell Pollock of Lubbock, Texas, Paulette Rivas of Groveland, Phyllis Nolton of Northern California, Kathryn and Pete Jackson of Texas, Mary Lou Derkson of Santa Rosa and Sharon Allred of Oregon; a brother in Idaho; two sisters, one in Idaho and one in Washington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Eugene T. Frank

Feb. 28, 1917 Dec. 20, 2003

Eugene T. Frank of Jamestown died Saturday, Dec. 20, at a Modesto hospital. He was 86.

He was born in Chicago. After his retirement, he moved to Tuolumne County and lived in Jamestown for 14 years. He met his wife at a square-dancing event in Sonora.

Mr. Frank is survived by his wife, Katherine Frank of Sonora.

National Cremation of Modesto handled arrangements.

Rodger Thell Shamo

Sept. 8, 1928 Jan. 1, 2004

Former Jamestown resident Rodger Thell Shamo died Thursday at a Livermore hospital. He was 75.

He was born in Hurricane, Utah. He attended elementary and secondary school in Hurricane and Panguitch, Utah, and later served in the U.S. Army.

He married his wife, Bessie, on July 23, 1955, in Carson City, Nev. They lived in Jamestown and later moved to Clearlake, where they lived for nearly 10 years. He then moved to Lodi.

He worked in construction and other jobs until he retired.

He was active in Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, National Rifle Association, AARP and Eagles. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He loved riding horses, his family added.

Mr. Shamo is survived by his sisters, Nellie Peterson of Cedar City, Utah, and Mary Anderson of Bunkerville, Nev.; sisters-in-laws, Reva and Lauana Shamo; 46 nieces and nephews; and more than 150 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Bessie; and brothers and sisters.

Services were held.

Beatrice A. Thompson

May 12, 1910 Jan. 7, 2004

Longtime Calaveras County resident Beatrice A. Thompson died Wednesday at a San Andreas hospital. She was 93.

She was born in Lowell, Mass., and lived in San Andreas for three years, Angels Camp for three years and Murphys for 16 years. Before she moved to Murphys, she lived in St. Helena, Napa County. She worked as a bank teller at Napa Valley Bank in Napa for 40 years.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Mary Cadorette of Arnold; and a niece, Janice Cadorette of Arnold.

No services were held at her request.

Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

INMAN A celebration of life for Michael and JoAnn Inman of Mokelumne Hill is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at 10006 Wendell Road in Mountain Ranch. They died Jan. 2 from injuries suffered in an auto accident in Mountain Ranch. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

LUFFBERRY Henry Luffberry, 86, of Sonora died Saturday at a Sonora hospital. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

NELSON Michael Nelson, 42, of Columbia died Friday at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

O'BRIEN Jessie O'Brien, 98, of Sonora died Saturday at a Sonora hospital. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

STUART Francis "Frank" Stuart, 79, of Jamestown died Friday at a Concord care home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
