Rita Hazel Addy of Groveland died Saturday at a Sonora care home. She was 95.
She was born in Okemah, Okla., and lived in Sonora for one year. She worked as a cafeteria worker for Citrus Union High School and College in Glendora for 25 years. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Glendora, and was active in the American Legion in Glendora. She was a homemaker.
Her family said she was a good mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Baldinger of Groveland; a son, James Addy of Auburn; a sister, Alta Henderson of Mantee, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Addy, and two sons, J.D. and Charles Addy.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora.
