Eleanor Adams Moreskini

Eleanor Adams Moreskini, formerly of Pine Mountain Lake, died July 27 at a Sebastopol hospital. She was 84.

She was born in Denver. She and her husband, Irwin, enjoyed more than 40 years of playing golf together, tennis, swing dancing, square dancing and bridge. They served in many golf associations through the years. Her family said she and her husband pass on a love of the ocean, desert and mountains places they both lived.

She is survived by her children, Richard Moreschini and his family of Merced, and Linda Thomas and her family of Santa Rosa; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Chris Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Wallace Moreskine, and their families and friends from Tucson, Ariz., Orange County, the Bay area, Pine Mountain Lake and Southern California.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Irwin, and her brother, Charles Adams.

There will be a service in the fall. Donations can be made in Eleanor's memory to the American Stroke Association at 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA 94010 or Senior Advocacy Services, 3262 Airway Drive, Suite C, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Walter H. Blake

Walter H. Blake, formerly of Twain Harte, died Aug. 4 at a Paradise hospital. He was 76.

He was born in Oakland to Walter and Goldie Blake. Walter was married to Rita (Krabach) Blake for 52 years. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion and belonged to The Sons of American Revolution. He raised his family in Fremont, where he lived for 47 years. He retired to Twain Harte in 1992. He moved to Paradise in 1998.

His family said he loved to go fishing and camping.

Mr. Blake is survived by his wife, Rita Blake of Paradise; his daughters and son-in-law, Nancy and Kim Miller of Grass Valley and Pamela Blake of Manhattan Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debbie Blake of Durham; and seven grandchildren, Scott, Bradley, and Megan Miller of Grass Valley, Cassady and Caileigh Blake-Christo of Manhattan Beach, Julie Brown of Hawaii and Jeffrey Blake of Durham.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Craig Memorial Congregational Church, 5665 Scottwood Road, Paradise. View obituary and send condolences online to www.NBCFH.com . George Andrew David Langston

George Andrew David Langston of Angels Camp died Wednesday at a Modesto hospital from injuries suffered in a car accident last week. He was 19.

He was born in Oakland. He lived in Angels Camp for seven years. He was planning on returning to school.

He was an avid skateboarder. His family said he loved to skateboard and "catch a lot of air." He loved his family and friends, his family said.

Mr. Langston is survived by his mother, Jessie Langston of Angels Camp; sisters Misty Rae Navo of Sacramento and Leiloni and Danielle Langston, both of Angels Camp; grandmother Joyce Cleavenger of Angels Camp; and grandfather Phillip Langston of Angels Camp.

A gathering was held yesterday to celebrate his life. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Robert M. Fiske

July 11, 1919 Aug. 6, 2003

Lifelong Greeley Hill resident Robert M. Fiske died Wednesday at his residence. He was 84.

He was a veteran of World War II. He was active and had many great interests, his family said. He worked many years for the Mariposa County Road Department, from which he retired. He was a participant with the Mariposa County Pioneer Wagon Train. He was a member of the VFW, Thom Jenkins Post in Coulterville.

His family said no one loved to socialize more than he did. He could be seen dancing and having a great time and was known to pitch a few horseshoes in his time, his family said.

He and his wife, Enid, were married for 45 years, all of which were spent living in Greeley Hill.

Mr. Fiske is survived by his two sons, Mike and Dennis Fiske of Greeley Hill; his daughter, Patricia Fiske of Greeley Hill; three grandsons; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Enid Fiske.

A service of remembrances will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Sierra, P.O. Box 4805, Sonora, CA 95370. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
