Deanna R. Childers, 38, of Sonora died Saturday from injuries sustained in a car crash on Highway 108 west of O'Byrnes Ferry Road.
After moving to Tuolumne County in 1987, she graduated from Columbia College with an associate's degree in business management and later earned a bachelor's degree in business management from California State University, Stanislaus.
She was an accountant for Craig Fleming Accountancy Corporation in Sonora for the past year, and had been an accountant for the past four years.
Her family said she was a dedicated and loving mother, and a loving and caring partner to her fiance.
Ms. Childers is survived by her fiance, Scott Mills of Sonora; a son, Nicolas Fabie, 17, of Sonora; a five-week-old daughter, Bethany Mills of Sonora; her mother, Mary Hansen of Sonora; her father, David Childers, and his companion, Carol Patrick, of Oregon; her step-father, Ken Hansen of San Francisco; a brother, Richard Childers of San Bruno; a sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and James Dunne of Sonora; a niece, Veronica Deleid of Sonora; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends throughout California, Iowa and Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Long, in 1994, and grandfather, James Long, in 1989.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Heuton Memorial Chapel in Sonora. Burial will be at Mountain Shadow Cemetery, Sonora.
Patricia M. Carroll

Patricia M. Carroll, 48, of Sonora died Friday at her home.
Ms. Carroll was born in Oakland and had lived in Sonora for the past 14 years.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, riding snowmobiles, reading and traveling. She had lived in Dublin, Ireland, for many years before she settled in Twain Harte.
Her family said she was a wonderful mother, provider and friend to her children and will be deeply missed by them.
Ms. Carroll is survived by a son, James Carroll of Twain Harte; two daughters, Sheila Carroll of Dublin, Calif., and Kelley Carroll of Twain Harte; a sister, Denise Lions of Castro Valley; and parents, James and Mary Keegan of Pleasanton.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heuton Memorial Chapel in Sonora. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora.

Catherine M. Wilson, 65, died Sunday at a Sonora hospital.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Fullerton and had lived in Sonora for one year.
She had been a secretary and payroll clerk for Yager Construction in Riverside for 20 years.
She loved sewing, crafts and reading to her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two daughters, Pam Hafer of Riverside and Cindi Hardy of Lakewood; two sons, Steve Wilson of Sonora and Jeff Wilson of Carrolton, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Mindy Turner of Moreno Valley, Todd Hafer of Riverside, Kristen Wilson of Modesto, Cody Wilson, Casey Wilson and Ashley Wilson, all of Carrolton, Sibecca Hardy and Brandon Hardy, both of Lakewood and Cheyenne Wilson and Dakota Wilson, both of Sonora; and one great-grandson, Kyle Turner of Moreno Valley.
No service is planned. Burial will be private. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
Paul Andrew Smith

Paul Andrew Smith, 51, brother of Laurel Utecht of Sonora, died Monday in Sacramento after a long illness.
Mr. Smith was born in Sacramento and lived there at the time of his death.
He was a systems analyst for the State of California.
He enjoyed the outdoors, forests, lakes and rainstorms. He liked Native American Culture and attended pow wows throughout California, including the horse dance ceremony, an annual Native American ceremony. He and his wife belonged to the White Swan Circle, a group that participates in these events.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl H. and Pauline L. Smith.
In addition to his sister, Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Betty Smith of Sacramento; his son, Kelly Ryan Smith of Sacramento; a sister, Linda Gibson of Sacramento; a brother, Daniel Smith of Placerville; a nephew, Randy Harris of Seal Beach; and a niece, Paula Hussey of Seal Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Capitol Park in Sacramento. North Sacramento Crematorium is handling arrangements.
