Robin L. Fields

Robin L. Fields, 51, of Sonora died Sunday in a fire at her home.

Mrs. Fields was born in Los Angeles and had lived in Sonora for 42 years.

She had been a waitress at the former Rube's Restaurant in East Sonora many years ago. She loved spending time at her cabin at Eagle Meadow. Family members said she loved her grandchildren and her dachshunds and enjoyed her swimming pool.

Mrs. Fields is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ed Fields of Sonora; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorie and Chris Tomasovich and Wendi Fields, all of Sonora; a son, Doug Fields of Sonora; a sister, Randy Baker of Modesto; six grandsons, Kyle Tomasovich, Dillon Tomasovich, Justin Fields, Cody Fields, Bo Morey and A.J. Morey, all of Sonora; and a granddaughter, Deanna Fields of Sonora.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Shadow Cemetery, Sonora. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Joseph James Langworthy

Joseph James Langworthy, 68, a former resident of Jamestown, died Feb. 14 in Page, Ariz.

Mr. Langworthy was born in Martinez to Lawrence Raymond and Beanna Ida (Wells) Langworthy.

He married Marjory Kay Lee, and the two were later divorced.

He lived in the Bay Area most of his life, until he moved to Jamestown, where he had lived for 17 years. He had been living in Page with his daughter for the past three months.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for 40 years. Family members said he enjoyed having breakfast each morning at Woods Creek Cafe in Jamestown.

Mr. Langworthy is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jo Anne Shaw of Jamestown and Carole Sue and Paul Campbell of Page; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jack Douglas of Fairfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Deanna Langworthy of San Ramon; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kuehnhold.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 29, in Jamestown. Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah, handled arrangements.

Doris Jeanne Mahan

Doris Jeanne Mahan, 66, a former Sonora business owner, died Thursday at her home in Sonora.

Mrs. Mahan was born in Chicago and had lived in Sonora for the past 13 years.

She and her husband, Bob, owned Sears in East Sonora for five years in the 1990s. She had about 30 years' experience with Sears, having worked for the company in Concord for 25 years, before moving to Sonora.

Mrs. Mahan is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bob Mahan of Sonora; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Fonda Mahan of Vacaville; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Mahan and Jim Penrose of Sonora; five grandchildren, Celina and her husband, Kevin Davis, Trista Mahan, Marissa Mahan and Lacey Jaymes Mahan-Penrose; and two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Sierra Davis.

A private service will be held.
