Fire quickly spreading

Abby Divine, The Union Democrat /

A grass fire has burned 25-plus acres near Highway 120 and Jacksonville Road and is headed over a ridge into the Moccasin area.

"This fire is moving very quickly and has potential to get very big!" said Cal-Fire spokesman Mike Spear about 12:30 p.m. at the fire scene.

Spear said Jacksonville Road has been closed and many extra resources are being ordered by Cal Fire.

An air-attack, several engines and five strike-teams are battling the blaze.
