The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:53 a.m., disorderly conduct - People were yelling in the street on West Stockton Street.

8:38 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A woman was screaming and crying in a restroom at a Greenley Road park.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:15 a.m., Jamestown - A trailer was parked on a Sixth Avenue rental property without permission.

10:27 a.m., Sonora area - Someone on Ferrari Road gave deputies a pellet gun to be booked for destruction.

11:05 a.m., Tuolumne - A purse was stolen at a Tuolumne Road North business.

12:17 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Tuolumne Road received threatening text messages from an ex-employee.

12:41 p.m., Sonora area - A man on El Oso Way said his wife damaged his motorcycle.

2:09 p.m., Groveland - A woman on Hemlock Street said someone added a line to her Verizon account without her permission.

4:22 p.m., Sonora area - Crystal Falls Drive residents said their neighbors yelled at them while they sat on their porch.

4:32 p.m., Columbia - A woman on South Airport Road said her sister was abused by a boyfriend.

8:49 p.m., Long Barn - A man on Long Barn Road said his girlfriend threatened to kick him out of the house after an argument.

11:48 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Curtis Circle wanted to know why his son was released from jail after being arrested on felony charges. His wife got on the phone and "insulted and threatened to sue the Tuolumne County Jail."


3:58 a.m., Sonora area -A man on a motorized bike was stopped on Mill Villa Court. He told deputies he was on his way to retrieve his stolen bicycle.

Felony bookings


2:34 a.m., Jamestown - Andy Toma, 33, of the 2800 block of Merle Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Highway 108 at Keystone.

11:30 a.m., Tuolumne - Paul Eugene Brownell Jr., 32, of the 18200 block of Willow Avenue, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale and committing a felony while on bail after an arrest at his home.

4:11 p.m., Columbia - Lawrence Ronnie Martin, 59, of the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 222000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

4:20 p.m., Sonora area - Jason Daniel Peluso, 32, of the 14800 block of Curtis Circle, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, committing a felony while released on bail and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

8:07 p.m., Columbia - Kevin Richard Vargson, 27, of the 22400 block of South Airport Road, was booked on suspicion of assault and cruelty to animals after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:02 p.m., Sonora - Ricardo Cornejo, 26, of the 1800 block of Broadland Avenue, Duarte, was booked after an arrest on South Washington and June streets.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:06 a.m., Angels Camp - Someone stole a boat motor from a parking lot on Whittle Road.

10:18 a.m., Valley Springs - A man on Highway 26 trespassed and cut wood.

4:31 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone stole a camping stove from a residence on Daphne Street.

8:21 p.m., Copperopolis - A reported Main Street burglary was determined to be unfounded and a civil issue.
