8:11 a.m., Valley Springs - A woman on Dunn Road said a suspicious pickup sped down a street.

9:52 a.m., Murphys - A statue was stolen from a church on Sheep Ranch Road.

11:40 a.m., Valley Springs - Someone on Driver Road said they saw a man wearing baggy pants and looking over his shoulder.

3:27 p.m., Valley Springs - A suspicious man walked through a gated community on Paradise Peak.

10:22 p.m., Copperopolis - Jerry Don Kniffen, of the 100 block of Black Creek Drive, was booked after an arrest at his home.


The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:35 a.m., hazardous situation - Someone on South Barretta Street dropped a "cooler" off their pickup truck.

9:07 a.m., civil problem - A woman on South Washington Street said someone would not release her husband's mail.

10:32 a.m., Jamestown - A husband and wife at a Main Street restaurant argued.

11:20 a.m., Sonora area - Someone on Wildcat Ridge Road said their neighbor allowed their cats to "run wild" through his yard.

2:37 p.m., Twain Harte - A woman on Joaquin Gully Road stole an energy drink and chips.

4:06 p.m., Jamestown - Someone at a Rawhide Road mobile home park said his 41-year-old son ruined his landscape when he cut down bushes.

5:02 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Rimrock Road was assaulted by her daughter after they "wrestled."

6:04 p.m., Twain Harte - Someone on Meadow Drive told deputies to send someone to a park because there was a "ruckus."

6:55 p.m., Columbia - A man on School House Road threatened his landlord's "financial livelihood."

8:25 p.m., Columbia - A woman on Porcina Way locked her husband out of their house after an argument.

8:39 p.m., Twain Harte - A man put his estranged wife's belongings on the street on Ponderosa Drive.

10:20 p.m., Jamestown - A man on Rawhide Road said he would be using a chain saw to cut a tree that blocked his driveway.

Felony bookings


3:38 a.m., Jamestown - Sophia Leann Tate, 33, of the 17700 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor petty theft after an arrest on the 18100 block of Highway 108.

1:03 a.m., Sonora area - Gabriel Anthony Avila, 18, of the 18500 block of Woolworth Street, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on Crystal Lake and Wasatch Mountain drives.

10:32 a.m., Groveland - Jodi Beth McKinnon, 43, of the 22300 block of Hells Hollow Road, was booked after an arrest on Winding Way and Highway 120.
