The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


5:31a.m., unwanted person - A woman on Oakside Drive said her brother and another woman were at her house and wanted to stay. She requested they be "trespassed."

8:58 a.m., theft - Someone stole a potted plant from a business on South Washington Street.

11:58 p.m., reckless driving - Someone at a Sanguinetti Road parking lot said vehicles were "spinning doughnuts."

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:10 a.m., Twain Harte - A woman on Wildwood Drive said an "old wedding dress" and other items of "little value" were stolen from her vacation home.

1:29 p.m., East Sonora - A woman on Hess Avenue said a man named "Melvin" called and told her to pay her tax bill or she would be taken to jail.

4:39 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Old Wards Ferry Road dialed 911 and hung up. She told deputies her phone "accidentally dials 911 occasionally."

5:18 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Jacobs Road said a man named "Melvin" called and accused him of tax evasion and threatened to issue a warrant for his arrest.

9:39 p.m., Sonora area - A man at a mobile home park on Tuolumne Road said his mother showed up and harassed him.

10:37 p.m., Pinecrest - A child dialed 911 from a pay phone on Dodge Ridge Road and told dispatchers to buy them a pizza.

11:47 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Woodridge Way received a "strange call" from a blocked number.


2:14 a.m., Sonora area - A man on Old Wards Ferry Road said two men were at his neighbors residence and one was "smaller" and the other was "bigger."

Felony bookings


5:03 p.m., Sonora - Stephen Clay Woody, 41, of an unknown road in Strawberry, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

7:53 p.m., Sonora - Charles David Franke, 64, of the 24000 block of Fourth Avenue, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:56 p.m., Jamestown - Ernest Tyler Mittry, 29, of the 600 block of Barretta Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


5:30 p.m., Sonora - Stephen Russell Fulsaas, 49, of the 3100 block of Butters Drive, Oakland, was booked after an arrest on the first block of Pesce Way.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


4:21 p.m., Valley Springs - The driver of a car on Highway 26 at Driver Road almost hit someone, drove into a ditch, waved and drove away.

7:28 p.m., Angels Camp - Someone on Highway 49 said someone verbally harassed his grandfather.

8:05 p.m., Murphys - Two men on Algiers Street were riding bicycles and smoking marijuana.

10:24 p.m., Railroad Flat - Three suspicious females were walking down North Railroad Flat Road.
