The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:09 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A transient on Hospital Road was pushing a shopping cart. He told officers he would return any shopping carts in the area.

12:01 p.m. fire call - A fire was reported behind an Old Wards Ferry Road business.

2 p.m., miscellaneous - Three bags of "unidentifiable clothing of no value" were disposed of on Cemetery Lane.

3:06 p.m., traffic violations - Several drivers said they were "stuck" in traffic at a construction zone on Mono Way.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:05 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on Chukar Circle said her boyfriend was out of control.

10:08 a.m., Sonora area - Someone stole items from a donation center on Mono Way.

3:29 p.m., Jamestown - A 6-year-old with a mohawk on Preston Lane was missing. He was found playing on the stairs nearby.

4:29 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman on Inks Drive said someone came onto her property twice and turned her water "on or off."

6:34 p.m., Groveland - Someone on Mokelumne Circle said they smelled "gas."

10:16 p.m., Sonora area - Someone on Crystal Falls Drive said their neighbor was in a fight with his girlfriend and he picked up a dog and threw it.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:25 a.m., San Andreas - Someone from a "government office" on Mountain Ranch Road hung up on 911.

3:45 p.m., Valley Springs - A woman at a Sequoia Avenue mobile home park moved into a vacant mobile home.

4:08 p.m., Copperopolis - A man on Deer Field Circle acted aggressive and did "slow drive-bys."

7:25 p.m., Valley Springs - A child on Rippon Road called 911 as a "trick" on their parents. The child was counseled on proper use of 911.

8:16 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone on Saint Andrews Drive said there were two kids fishing in a pond.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:42 p.m. Arnold - Vicki Lynne Cobb, 51, of the 3900 block of Highway 4, was booked after an arrest on the 1200 block of Highway 4.
