Fire near highway

Cal Fire and Tuolumne County Fire Department units are responding to more than half acre vegetation fire at Highway 108 near Mono Way in Sonora.

It is along Highway 108 from near Old Wards Ferry Road to the Sanguinetti Loop.

Cal Fire spokeswoman Lisa Williams said there are 10 fire engines, an air attack plane, a helicopter and two tankers have responded to the fire and a dozer is on its way.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
