The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


11:00 a.m., reckless driving - A woman on North Washington Street said a "newer blue car" cut her off and almost caused a collision.

11:57 a.m., suspicious circumstances - Someone on Stockton Road said they saw a suspicious man who resembled a wanted suspect from San Francisco. An officer found the man to be a local transient with no violations.

1:23 p.m., reckless driving - Someone on North Washington Street said they followed another driver to a liquor store and saw them buy alcohol and leave. They said the driver is now weaving on the roadway.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


3:37 a.m., Sonora area - A driver was stopped on Highway 108 and South Washington Street for a broken license plate light. He said he was on his way to buy spark plugs.

8:48 a.m., Jamestown - A woman on Jacksonville road said her neighbor threatened to cause her "big trouble."

10:10 a.m., Tuolumne - A man on Cedar Street said his wife threatened to kill him.

10:26 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on Oxbow Lane said she was missing a bottle of perfume and a bottle of pet shampoo.

7:09 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Crestridge Avenue said her 82-year-old husband with dementia attacked her and she pushed him to the ground and he can't get up because of his bad knees.

Felony bookings


9:51 a.m., Sonora area - Derrick Wayne Hancock, 22, of the 11600 block of Allison Way was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 2000 block of Via Arroyo Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


2:55 p.m., Valley Springs - Someone at Paradise Peak and Mockingbird Hill said a man with no shirt and no shoes laid on the sidewalk every day.


9:36 a.m., San Andreas - Patio furniture was thrown from a balcony on East Saint Charles Street.

1:13 p.m., West Point - A man on Highway 26 said his housekeeper stole his keys and then came into the house and stole items.

7:02 p.m., Valley Springs - An "angry honker" refused to leave Daphne Street.

11:58 p.m., Angels Camp - A man on North Main Street thought he was poisoned.

2:20 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Heidi Mariah Lowther, 31, of an unknown address in Mountain Ranch, was booked on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime after an arrest on the 8100 block of Garibaldi Street.

4:52 p.m., Vallecito - Julie Anne Rinauro, 43, of the 3600 block of Poag Lane, was booked on suspicion of cruelty to an elderly dependant after an arrest at her home.

10:25 p.m., Angels Camp - David Frank Adams Jr., 33, of the 700 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home.


7:43 p.m., Railroad Flat - Janice Bernice Deposta, 71, of the 1400 block of North Railroad Flat Road, was booked on suspicion of assault and harming an elderly dependant after an arrest at her home.


10:55 p.m., Valley Springs - Nicholas Lucas McClain Jr., 23, of the 1600 block of Hemlock Court, was booked on suspicion of drug possession for sale after an arrest at highways 12 and 26.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


4:57 p.m., Angels Camp - Ricky Allen Ferrari, 55, of the 900 block of Pine Drive, was booked after an arrest on Minna and Echo streets.

6:52 p.m., Angels Camp - Douglas Robert Doell, 65, of the 300 block of Horseshoe Drive, Hathaway Pines, was booked after an arrest on Highway 4 at Stallion Road.
