Tuttletown fire burns five acres

At about 4:30 p.m. the forward spread of a five acre vegetation fire off of Highway 49 and Fraguero Road has been stopped, according to Cal Fire spokeswoman Lisa Williams.

The fire was reported at 3:52 p.m. this afternoon.

Cal Fire has two hand crews on scene, one from Baseline Conservation Center in Jamestown and two from Vallecito, Williams said.

There are also tankers, a helicopter and five Cal Fire engines working to squelch the fire.
