The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:21 a.m., trespassing - A woman on North Stewart Street said there was a person sleeping in her neighbor's front yard.

11:38 a.m., harassment - A disabled propane truck was seen in the roadway on South Washington Street.

12:28 p.m., vehicle theft - A man on North Stewart Street said a woman took his vehicle.

9:31 p.m., burglary - Someone took items after breaking into a locked vehicle on Greenley Road.


4:32 a.m., suspicious circumstances - Several car alarms were heard going off at the same time on Summit Avenue.

3:17 p.m., animal complaint - A dog was reportedly locked in a vehicle in the heat at a Mono Way parking lot.

4:53 p.m., domestic dispute - An argument occurred at East Church and South Shepherd streets.

10:32 p.m., trespassing - A transient man was sleeping in a bed on Greenley Road after breaking in.


2:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A man on East Church Street believed his phone was "bugged" and he was being followed.

3:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A man harassed others at a West Stockton Road business by "putting on make-up and touching himself inappropriately."

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:27 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on Wasatch Mountain Drive said she received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS seeking back taxes who then started talking dirty to her.

1:48 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Bellview Creek Road said he received fraudulent phone calls from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. The Sonora man told law enforcement that the caller threatened to blow up his computer after being questioned further.

2:27 p.m., Jamestown - A Smoke Avenue property owner selling a house said he found someone had gotten inside to sleep in the laundry room.

5:30 p.m., Twain Harte - A group of teenagers was drinking at breaking benches on Lakeview Drive.

5:48 p.m., Sonora area - A man said wires were cut on his ATV on Wards Ferry Road.

5:50 p.m., Groveland - A man was assaulted near Ferretti and Clinton roads.

6:03 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Buckhorn Mountain Road was dousing a fire with a garden hose.


1:16 a.m., Tuolumne - A loud party was reported on Yosemite Road.

2:59 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village - A man tried to climb through a window at the Mi-Wuk fire station.

7:20 a.m., Sonora area - Someone attempted to steal a dump truck on Granite Park Road. The suspect tore up a canopy that got hung up on the truck before leaving the scene.

7:53 p.m. La Grange - A man at Don Pedro Tri-Storage reported a stereo system stolen from his boat.

7:57 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on Pack Trail Road reported her neighbor shot himself in the head.

8:21 a.m., Sonora area - A man reported his dog was attacked by another dog at Covey Circle park.

8:28 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on East Walnut Street said her son was bitten by a friend's dog.

11:05 a.m., Jamestown - A man was "blatantly wasting water" on Fifth Avenue washing an old RV.

11:27 a.m., Columbia - A man who said he was attacked by a woman on Sawmill Flat Road said he found her sleeping in a bed after apparently breaking through a window.

1:37 p.m., Sonora area - A man in a hatchback car was seen near Mono way pouring a Mickey's into a cup while driving.

4:10 p.m., Jamestown - A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 108. The vehicle was described as a dark green pickup truck with a homemade hood ornament featuring a with was a bow and arrow. The truck also had three tires on the tailgate and no license plates.

4:13 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman on Apple Colony Road found a rattlesnake in her laundry room.

6:01 p.m., Columbia - A woman said she was assaulted on Springfield Road and Parrotts Ferry Road.

6:05 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village - A man on Pine Lake Drive said someone stole tools from his property.

7:04 p.m., Jamestown - An argument in the street at Sixth Avenue and Seventh Street possibly involved someone shooting a handgun.


10:28 a.m., Groveland - A man on Merrell Road was seen stealing batteries out of a dump.

1:45 p.m., Groveland - A man on Big Oak Road said people at a neighbor's house mooned his wife.

4:10 p.m., Sonora area - A man on Countryside Court told deputies his girlfriend's mom grounded her and he did not agree with this punishment.

4:34 p.m., Twain Harte - Someone at Southfork Road and Brodhurst Drive said they saw a dog in the middle of a golf course chewing on old bones.

Felony bookings:


12:39 a.m., Sonora - Desirae Quezada, 20, of the first block of Elm Street, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest near 500 S. Baretta St.


7:24 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village - Shannon Christine Melton, 37, of the 20700 block of Lama Tuemete, was booked on suspicion of force or assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, abusing or endangering the health of a child, inflicting an injury upon a child and damaging a telephone line after an arrest at her residence.


8:05 a.m., Sonora area - Kimberly Kay Scialabba, 38, of the 19600 block of Serrano Road, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at her home.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


11:07 p.m., Sonora - Rodrick William Mulkin, 55, of the 20100 block of Columbia Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest at Highway 108 and Mono Way.


4:52 a.m., Jamestown - Damien Christian Hopping, 39, of the 1400 block of Parkside Drive, Tracy, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Harvard Mine Road.

12:05 p.m., Sonora - Joshua Allan Randall Lehman, 28, of the 15400 block of Buttercup Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road at Hess Avenue.


7:26 p.m., East Sonora - Conner Michael Gerhart, 20, of the 16900 block of Nelson Road, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest at Longeway Road and Crystal Falls Drive.

8:05 p.m., Jamestown - Richard David Lutz, 43, of the 2700 block of Lathrop Court, Tustin, was booked after an arrest on O'Byrnes Ferry Road, north of Peoria Flat Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:32 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - Someone reported a winch stolen from their property on Jesus Maria Road.

10:32 a.m., Arnold - Someone on Highway 4 ran another driver off the road and made rude hand gestures.

11:17 p.m., San Andreas - A man said people were being loud and breaking bottles in a parking lot on West Saint Charles Street.


2:32 a.m., Burson - Campers on Wade Lane were heard making "threats and slurs." They were found to be in a water balloon fight and agreed to keep the noise down.

10:55 a.m., Burson - Someone saw a man riding a small bicycle in front of a house on Evergreen Road.


11:52 a.m., Murphys - Someone said they lost an expensive leash when someone else claimed their loose pitbull running on Main Street.

11:33 p.m., San Andreas - Someone on Foothill Court said they heard a loud party and would like them to quiet down now.

Felony bookings:


3:34 p.m., San Andreas - Anthony Don Patrick, 39, of the 2000 block of Beverlynn Lane, was booked on suspicion of prohibited gun possession after an arrest at his home.

4:50 p.m., Copperopolis - Jennifer Aaron Melendez, 33, of the 2900 block of Squaw Drive, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, resisting arrest, child cruelty and misdemeanor annoying phone calls after an arrest at her home.


5:17 p.m., Copperopolis - Elizabeth Lyn Bise, 41, of the 3300 block of Hunter Lane, Carmichael, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Parrotts Ferry Road.


3:06 a.m., Valley Springs - Andrew Allen Miller, 18, of the 2700 block of Mill Oak Drive, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeanor vandalism after an arrest on the 16900 block of Milton Road.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


11:50 p.m., Vallecito - Kenton Carl Airola, 22, of the 1000 block of West Murray Creek Road was booked after an arrest on Highway 4 at Vallecito Bypass Road.

3:00 p.m., Angels Camp - Gary Joseph Vochatzer, 74, of the 6800 block of Atlanta Circle, Stockton, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Highway 49.

7:00 p.m., Angels Camp - Jeff William Wagner, 53, of the 11100 block of Shelton Road, Linden, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Spence Ranch.


10:27 p.m., Angels Camp - Christopher Paul Kruger, 60, of the 22600 block of Whispering Pines Drive, Groveland, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and North Main Street.

6:33 p.m., Copperopolis - Lori Kay McDonald, 51, of the 200 block of Thompson Lane, was booked after an arrest at her home.


9:01 p.m., Angels Camp - Nikolas David Eisenhauer, 21, of the 200 block of Judy Drive, Sutter Creek, was booked after an arrest on South Main Street.

3:12 p.m., West Point - Edward William Opie, 47, of the 900 block of Ralston Ave., Belmont, was booked after an arrest on the 22600 block of Highway 26.

The California Highway Patrol reported the following:

Traffic collisions

11:17 p.m., San Andreas - Kimberly Dawn Rainer, 47, of the 19700 block of Rose Court, Mountain Ranch, was driving impaired on Highway 49, near Union Mine Road. She lost control of her Honda CRV and it rolled over the left shoulder. A juvenile passenger was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center for minor injuries. Rainer was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and causing great bodily injury, after an arrest on Highway 49, south of Union Mine Road.
