The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:16 a.m., hazardous situation - A bus could not get around a fifth-wheel truck on South Washington Street.

10:42 a.m., traffic accidents - A maroon station wagon hit a bus on Snell Street.

11:52 a.m., animal complaints - Someone said they lost a beagle on Knowles Hill Road.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


11:55 a.m., Columbia - A motorhome with flat tires and a broken windshield was parked on the corner of Lower Quail Mine and Upper Quail Mine roads.

12:40 p.m., Sonora area - A suspicious man was lying face down on the sidewalk on Greenley Road. Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed the man was a maintenance employee working.

12:52 p.m., Sonora area -A man on Wards Ferry Road asked deputies to respond to his home because his vehicle was damaged by a rock when a man used a weed-eater and "flew a rock up."

3:17 p.m., Twain Harte - A man on Twain Harte Drive received a threatening phone call from a man with a thick accent.

3:57 p.m., Soulsbyville - A man had an argument with himself and threw things after his truck broke down at Highway 108 and Soulsbyville Road.

6:19 p.m., Sonora area - A 14-year-old on Highway 108 said he wanted deputies to respond so he "would not abuse his mom and sister anymore."

7:24 p.m., Soulsbyville - An deputy at Highway 108 and Soulsbyville Road was struck by an elderly woman's cane after she climbed a fence and escaped a Soulsbyville care home.

8:33 p.m., Jamestown - A woman on Golden Dove Lane called 911 and said she "needs an officer right now" and hung up. Deputies called her back and she told them she "needs to go take care of her foot" and hung up. She was later counseled "on how to talk to dispatchers."

9:37 p.m., Sonora area - A tourist from Germany flagged down a deputy and asked him for directions to a hotel at a gas station on Highway 108.

10:19 p.m., Tuolumne - A deputy responded to a complaint of loud music at a Tuolumne Road apartment complex and a man told him someone had lied to them and shut the door in his face.


3:24 a.m., Sonora area - An elderly man on Sylva Lane called 911 and asked for the date and day of the week.

Felony bookings


12:47 p.m., Sonora - David Anthony Lagone, 28, of an unknown block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

4:16 p.m., Sonora area - Meghan Alyssa Sherman, 22, of the 1000 block of Mission Bay Drive, Vacaville, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the Sanguinetti Road loop.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


1:13 p.m., Jamestown - Ernest Joseph Viglienzoni, 56, of the 12600 block of Algerine Road, was booked after an arrest at Seco and Main streets.

4:16 p.m., Sonora area - Emalee Elyse McCoy, 25, of an unknown address in Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on the Sanguinetti Road and South Mono Way.

4:58 p.m., Jamestown - Ronald Kevin Wise, 53, of the 300 block of East Pasadena Avenue, was booked after an arrest at his home.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


2:49 p.m., Copperopolis - A man on O'Byrnes Ferry Road said he saw two men leaving the area of his home and his keys and credit cards were gone.

6:38 p.m., Valley Springs - People were heard talking about poison oak after they "pocket-dialed" 911.

10:05 p.m., Mountain Ranch - Someone on Jesus Maria Road said people were walking around with flashlights and possibly poaching deer.

Felony bookings


10:13 a.m., Valley Springs - Richard Daniel Breen, 45, of the 2400 block of Snag Court, was booked on assault after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:58 p.m., Angels Camp - Rodney Black, of the 23900 block of Oxbow Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on the 1000 block of South Main Street.
