The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:03 a.m., threats - Someone was threatened at a parade on South Washington Street.

5:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A woman jogging on South Forest Road was chased by a man with a scruffy beard and dirty blue jeans.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:47 a.m., Jamestown - Deputies were asked to check on an 88-year old woman. She was found at home eating breakfast.

10:54 a.m., Long Barn - A man who thought there was a law that he had to have a fire-exit out his bedroom window said his neighbor built a fence "approximately 40 inches away" from his window on Ellmaro Drive.

2:44 p.m., Twain Harte - A man on Twain Harte Drive "ranted and raved" about how he was going to starve to death because he was not allowed in a Twain Harte grocery store. He told deputies to "figure this out" before he died of starvation.

3:14 p.m., Columbia - A woman said she accidently took a purse she thought looked exactly like hers after playing cards at a mobile home park on Green Street. Deputies contacted the other party and the purses were exchanged.

7:38 p.m., Sonora - Carl Guy Balmer Jr., 31, of the 200 block of East Orangeburg Avenue, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 400 block of West Stockton Street.

10:11 a.m., Groveland - Gary Francis Poste, 76, of the 11200 block of Merrill Road, was booked on suspicion of vandalism after an arrest on the 11200 block of Merrill Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:29 p.m., Jamestown - Gerald Begay Bitsinnie, 48, of the 400 block of Mesa Road, Kayenta Ariz., was booked after an arrest at Highway 108 and Yosemite Junction.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


1:45 p.m., San Andreas - Someone on Andreas Vista called 911 10 to 12 times and hung up.

6:30 p.m., Copperopolis - A car was parked at a Copper Cove Drive business for two weeks.

7:48 p.m., Douglas Flat - Someone on Live Oak Court reported theft of baby food and supplies.

9:24 a.m., Valley Springs - Michael Anthony Wold, 43, of an unknown address in Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of causing a fire, after an arrest at the Calaveras County Fire Department.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:42 p.m., Valley Springs - David Michael Hilinski, 34, of the 2800 block of East Street, Sacramento, was booked after an arrest at Highway 26 and Highway 12.
