A three-vehicle accident involving a school bus carrying children in San Andreas earlier this week did not result in any injuries, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred about 3:45 p.m. Monday when a Peterbilt semi truck swerved into opposing traffic to avoid a stalled truck. According to the CHP, Glenn Dragomanovich, 53, was driving the semi truck east on Highway 12 near Central Hill Road when the truck reached a sharp curve.
The semi swerved out of his lane to avoid a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was stalled in the westbound lane, according to the CHP, and hit the mirror of a school bus parked behind the cargo truck. Dragomanovich's truck also hit the mirror of the Ford, according to the CHP.
According to the CHP, a 16-year-old Valley Springs resident was driving the cargo truck, and Donna Williams, 53, of San Andreas, was driving the bus. After the incident, all three vehicles were moved off the road and the students were transferred to another bus.
All vehicles saw minor damage and no arrests were made.
