About 200 to walk at Columbia College

Austen Thibault, The Union Democrat

Columbia College will hold its 45th commencement ceremony on Friday, awarding more than 200 degrees.

Graduates of the community college will be handed their diplomas and certificates by college administrators and board members, "commencing" their lives in the professional world.

About 200 students will graduate this year, many with honors or distinction or attaining multiple degrees or certificates.

Twenty-five will graduate with distinction - a grade point average of 3.75 or higher - and 27 will graduate with honors - with a 3.5 to 3.74 GPA.

More than 30 students will graduate with multiple degrees or both degrees and certificates.
