The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:35 a.m., unclassified - Personal items belonging to a transient were found on Sanguinetti Road.

2:53 p.m., animal complaints - Several loose goats and chickens were in the road on Washington Street.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


5:34 p.m., Jamestown - Two dogs were in the road near the sewer plant. One dog was taken to animal control and the other ran away.

7:28 p.m., Sonora area - A pitbull on Hunts Road bit a man in the face.

9:16 p.m., East Sonora - A woman ran a red light on Mono Way. She told deputies that she was confused about the lighting.


6:04 a.m., Big Oak Flat - Six horses were running southbound on Priest Coulterville Road and Highway 120.

Felony bookings


9:20 a.m., Sonora - Shane William Vastbinder, 44, of the 16000 block of Tehachapi Court, was booked booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 400 block of South Washington Street.

9:28 p.m., Sonora area - Michael Shannon O'Hare, 36, of the 18000 block of Wards Ferry Road, was booked on suspicion of carrying ammunition and misdemeanor possession of drugs and a knife after an arrest on Eagle Ridge Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:05 p.m. Sonora area - Colby Justin Riley, 20, of the 21000 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked after an arrest on the 21000 block of Phoenix Lake Road.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:08 a.m., Wilseyville - A man carrying a rifle and wearing camouflage was walking on North Railroad Flat and Blue Mountain Road.

4:58 p.m., Murphys - A man fell off a moving vehicle and an arrest was made on Highway 4 and Allen Lane.

Felony bookings


3:13 p.m, Mokelumne Hill - Brenda Jo Ledford, 36, of the 100 block of Pine Street, West Point, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest at Highway 26 and Main Street.

6:05 p.m. Murphys - Zachary Joseph Anglin, 27, of the 1000 block of Greensboro Way, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of battery and misdemeanor drug possession after an arrest on Highway 4 and Allen Lane.

5:14 p.m., San Andreas - Richard Arthur Hilgardner Jr., 33, of an unknown street in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of probation violation after an arrest on Pope Street.
