The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:57 a.m., public intoxication - Someone reported a transient and a dog sleeping on the back porch of church property on West Bradford Avenue. The woman was arrested for public intoxication and the dog was taken by Tuolumne County Animal Control.

8:51 p.m., theft - A man stole from a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


9:57 a.m., Sonora area - A Corte Del Cielo man received a call from someone claiming to be from a technical support company and the caller may have installed a virus on his computer.

10:01 a.m., East Sonora - A light-colored truck was pumping an unknown substance near a ditch at Phoenix Lake Road and Hess Avenue.

10:11 a.m., East Sonora - A woman thought someone left a voicemail saying "You are both going to die," at her home on Hess Avenue. Deputies believed the message actually said "Have a nice day. Bye."

12:16 p.m., Jamestown - A woman believed her mail was taken from her mailbox for the past week on Rawhide Road.

2:19 p.m., Sonora - A house was reportedly ransacked in the past few weeks on Highway 49. The door was ajar and many items were gone, a caller said.

3:44 p.m., Crystal Falls - A woman said a caller claiming to represent Covered California called and tried to get her to open an account.

3:50 p.m., Soulsbyville - Medication was possibly stolen on Clouds Rest Road.

4:23 p.m., Sonora - A potential scam was reported on West Brookside Drive. The alleged scammer claimed to be from the U.S. Treasury and threatened to arrest the resident if she did not call back.

6:26 p.m., Sonora - Three sheep were in the road at Lyons Bald Mountain and Greenley roads.

3:43 a.m., Sonora - Kevin Oneal Hepstall, 45, of the 18100 block of Sleepy Hollow Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening someone with the intent to terrorize, grand theft, battery against emergency personnel and probation violation after an arrest on North Washington Street.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


9:17 p.m., Sonora - Caleb Wilson Brinkley, 28, of Modesto, was booked after an arrest at Stewart Street and Restano Way.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:30 p.m., San Andreas - Theft was reported at the new Sheriff's Office on Jeff Tuttle Drive.

4:08 p.m., Burson - Someone reported a suspicious van coming and going from a neighbor's house on Wilkinson Lane.


6:54 a.m., Copperopolis - Someone reported "the night stalker" at Flint Trail and Quail Hill Road. The person may have been involved in a burglary a year ago, the caller said.
